FAQs
How is my timezone determined?
BlueConic uses your locale to determine your timezone. You manage your locale setting in the BlueConic Settings menu.
How do I move the insights on a dashboard?
By default, a newly added insight is placed as the last insight on a dashboard. You can move an insight to another place on the dashboard by dragging it. You can also use the cursor keys (← ↑ → ↓) to move an insight around the dashboard.
How can I share my BlueConic dashboard results with others?
You can schedule automated emails to send the latest version of your dashboard to yourself and others (even non-BlueConic users) on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. To set this up, open the dashboard's metadata section, activate the email schedule, and customize the recipients and frequency as needed.
Can I view a BlueConic dashboard as a standalone dashboard?
Yes, you can create a standalone version of a dashboard that displays in a full-screen browser window without menus or sidebars. To do this:
Open the dashboard
Modify the URL in the address bar by changing "type=dashboard" to "type=standalonedashboard"
Bookmark or share the updated URL.
Keep in mind that access rights still apply to standalone dashboards.
How can I add text and explanations to my BlueConic dashboards?
To add headers, descriptions, or any textual content to your dashboards, use the "Content creator" insight. This allows you to incorporate additional context and commentary alongside your data visualizations, enhancing clarity and understanding.
What are the generic insight controls?
When you hover over an insight on a dashboard, you'll see up to five controls:
Info: Displays the insight type and description.
Export: Downloads the insight data as an Excel file.
Used Items: Shows the items used in the insight, allowing for quick editing.
Settings: Opens a popup to configure the insight's settings.
