Visual Website Optimizer Connection
Updated this week

What: The Visual Website Optimizer connection allows you to share BlueConic segmentation information with Visual Website Optimizer.

Why: By using BlueConic's unique behavioral data collection engine and segmentation capabilities, you can enable highly relevant programs in Visual Website Optimizer.

Configuring the VWO Connection requires settings both on the BlueConic side and the VWO side, as explained below.

Configuration takes the following options:

How to share customer segments and customer profile data with BlueConic and Visual Website Optimizer

  • Choose "Custom"

  • Select "COOKIE VALUE" and enter the name of the cookie that BlueConic sets: bcVWOCookie

  • Select the filter "CONTAINS" and enter the name of the segment that you want to filter on. The cookie can contain multiple segment names, hence the use of "CONTAINS".

Privacy management

Connections can be added to Objectives, allowing for privacy management of the information that is being picked up. A connection will only process the profiles of visitors who have consented to at least one of the objectives that the connection is linked to.
