Outcome measurement reports campaign performance from your connected advertising and email platforms, and engagement from BlueConic Dialogues. Link a platform's campaigns to an outcome, and BlueConic imports their results every day so you can compare them in the Last touch breakdown. This article lists the supported data sources and what each one needs.

Before you begin
Configure the platform's connection in BlueConic.
Grant the connection read access to the account, campaigns, and reporting in the platform.
Confirm that the campaigns you plan to link are active and generating reporting data.
For BlueConic-observed conversions, make sure visits from each campaign carry the utm_id parameter with the platform's campaign ID. BlueConic uses it to match a website visit to a campaign.
For dialogue reporting, use the dialogue in a canvas associated with the growth play.
To link campaigns, set up an outcome for the growth play. See Outcome measurement overview.
To learn how BlueConic counts conversions from these sources, see Outcome measurement metrics and attribution.
Import your order history before you create the outcome. Orders imported afterward can make a returning buyer look like a first-time buyer.
For Klaviyo and Mailchimp, use the latest version of the connection.
Advertising platforms
For each linked campaign, BlueConic imports daily impressions, clicks, spend, reach, and the conversions and conversion value the platform reports. It calculates click-through rate (CTR), cost per click (CPC), cost per 1,000 impressions (CPM), cost per conversion, and return on ad spend (ROAS) from these values. Each platform appears as its own row in the Last touch breakdown.
Google Ads
Set the Google Ads Final URL Suffix to utm_id={campaignid}. Google Ads doesn't add this parameter by default.
Meta Ads
Add utm_id with the Meta campaign ID to your ad URL parameters.
TikTok Ads
Permissions: advertiser or account read, campaign read, reporting read, and custom audience read.
Conversion value includes website (pixel) purchases only. In-app purchases and TikTok Shop purchases aren't included.
Add utm_id with the TikTok campaign ID to your campaign URLs.
Audience size isn't reported.
TikTok reports each day in the ad account's time zone. If that time zone is west of UTC, the most recent day can show partial results.
Snapchat Ads
Conversions and conversion value are the purchases and purchase value Snapchat reports.
Snapchat reports swipes, which BlueConic counts as clicks.
Audience size for Snap audience segments is the approximate number of matched users.
Add utm_id with the Snapchat campaign ID to your campaign URLs.
X Ads
Permissions: ads account read, campaign read, and analytics read.
Clicks are link clicks when X reports them, and all clicks otherwise.
Conversions and conversion value come from the web conversion tracking in your X Ads account.
Add utm_id with the X campaign ID to your campaign URLs.
Audience size is the approximate number of matched users.
Pinterest Ads
Permissions: ads read.
BlueConic reports campaign-level results once a day.
Audience size is reported for each audience in the ad account, not for each campaign. Pinterest doesn't link audiences to campaigns in its reporting.
Email platforms
Email platforms report delivered, bounces unique, opens unique, clicks unique, and unsubscribes unique instead of impressions and spend. Klaviyo and Mailchimp also report conversions and conversion value. BlueConic calculates open rate and click rate. Metrics that don't apply to email, such as impressions, reach, spend, CPM, and ROAS, show N/A on email rows. Email metrics appear only in the Last touch breakdown, not in the KPI cards or Performance over time.
Note: For BlueConic-observed conversions, add utm_id with the campaign ID to the links in your emails. Without it, BlueConic can't match a visit from the email to the outcome.
Klaviyo
Reports both flows (automated emails, such as cart recovery, win-back, replenishment, or loyalty flows) and campaigns (one-off sends).
Conversions use the Placed Order metric in your Klaviyo account. BlueConic finds it automatically, so you don't need to configure it.
Link a Klaviyo flow or campaign to an outcome by its flow ID or campaign ID. Flows and campaigns appear as separate rows in the Last touch breakdown.
Mailchimp
Campaign data refreshes once a day. Same-day sends might not appear right away.
Data is available only from the campaign's send date onward.
Link a Mailchimp campaign to an outcome by its campaign ID.
Delivered, conversions, and conversion value are credited to the send date. A date range that excludes the send date shows opens and clicks without conversions.
Engagement recorded more than 30 days after the send isn't included.
BlueConic Dialogues
Use the dialogue in a canvas associated with the growth play.
Don't add an advertising connection or UTM parameter for dialogue reporting.
Note: Outcome measurement doesn't use conversion settings from the dialogue Why tab, including the dialogue's attribution window. Outcome measurement uses its own 30-day attribution window. Dialogue-level conversion reporting stays separate.
Keep in mind
Platforms report once a day, at campaign level. Ad group, ad squad, and individual ad results aren't included.
A campaign that didn't deliver on a day shows no data for that day.
Platform-reported conversions aren't deduplicated across platforms.
BlueConic doesn't import campaign history from before a campaign is linked.
Reach is deduplicated per day only, so reach over a multi-day range is overstated.
Each platform reports in its own currency. BlueConic doesn't convert between currencies.
