We’ve released Google Drive Connection v2, a fully updated integration that aligns with Google’s latest security and platform requirements. This new version is now available in the BlueConic Gallery.
The previous Google Drive connection experienced ongoing authentication issues due to updated Google verification requirements and the use of a non-compliant file picker. As a result, customers could encounter “unsafe app” warnings and run into errors when setting up new connections or editing existing connections.
Google Drive v2 resolves these issues by adopting Google’s official Picker API and fully aligning with Google’s verification and security standards. This results in a more stable, secure, and future-proof integration.
⚠️ Action required
Existing connections will continue to work for now. However, the previous version is deprecated and will no longer appear in the Gallery. To avoid future issues, we strongly recommend migrating to Google Drive Connection v2 as soon as possible.
