BlueConic plugins let you customize and enhance the platform’s functionality to fit your needs. Plugins can be created by BlueConic or custom-built, offering pluggable options across connections, AI Workbench notebooks, dialogues, insights, and more. This flexibility allows you to seamlessly extend BlueConic’s features to support your unique use cases.
Navigate to plugins
Navigate to Plugins in the settings menu.
The Plugins page displays a table of plugins that are configured in your tenant. Search, filter, and customize the columns.
Click the name of a plugin to open its details.
Add a plugin
Click the Add plugin button.
This opens a lightbox window with several options to add a new plugin:

a. Searching the plugin gallery
The plugin gallery contains all available BlueConic plugins:
Filter the gallery by searching for a specific name, or by selecting a category of plugin type.
Plugins that are not installed contain an Add plugin button. When you click this button, the plugin is automatically installed.
b. Uploading a ZIP file
To upload as a ZIP file:
Click the Upload ZIP file button.
Drag a ZIP file or select one from your computer.
Click Add plugin.
c. Registering an external URL
To host it on a web server and register the URL where this plugin is hosted:
Click the Register external URL button.
Paste the URL in the textbox.
Click Add plugin.
Update a plugin
Plugins are actively maintained and automatically updated when new versions are released. However, custom plugins uploaded via zip files are not.
Use the "Updates" filter to find plugins with available updates.
Click the Update plugin button to install the update.
Delete a plugin
Click on the dropdown menu of the Save button
Choose the Delete option to remove the selected plugin from your tenant.
Related items
In the right-hand sidebar, the "related items" box is displayed. It shows the other objects in BlueConic that are directly related to the selected plugin.
Plugins can have the following types of related items:
Profile properties: The profile properties that are defined by this plugin.
Dialogues: Shows the dialogues and variants that are based on this plugin.
Dashboards: The dashboards where insights based on this plugin appear.
Listeners: Shows the listeners that are based on this plugin.
Connections: Shows the connections that are based on this plugin.
Notebooks: Shows the AI Workbench notebooks based on this plugin.
Timeline event types: Shows the Timeline event types that are based on this plugin.
