Manage privacy settings
To select or manage the legislation zones you want to support:
Navigate to BlueConic settings > Privacy.
Set your Default permission to Level 2. Use Objectives for further consent management.
Select all of the necessary legislation zones required for compliance.
For each legislation zone, choose one of the following statuses:
Opt-in: Objectives will only be executed for profiles in this legislation zone that have given explicit consent.
Opt-out: Objectives will be executed, except for profiles in this legislation zone that explicitly refused the objective.
Disabled: Objectives will always be executed for profiles in this legislation zone.

When will the "Rest of the World" option be labeled "Whole world" in the Privacy settings?
The "Rest of the World" option is labeled “Whole world” if no other legislation zone is selected on the Privacy page.
Can I uncheck a legislation zone on the Privacy page if it's currently being used in an Objective?
No, if a legislation zone is currently in use in an Objective, it cannot be unchecked on the Privacy page.
What happens to new UK visitors if UK GDPR is not enabled in Privacy settings?
If UK GDPR is not enabled, new UK visitors will be assigned to the Europe (GDPR) zone until the UK zone is enabled.
What is the difference between legal consent and marketing opt-in preferences?
In BlueConic, legal consent and marketing opt-in preferences serve distinct purposes.

Yes, all our internal processes are compliant, as well as third parties, like Amazon Web Services.
What happens if a customer denies or revokes consent for website tracking behavior? How would BlueConic automatically manage that?
Assuming that ‘website tracking behavior’ is defined as a BlueConic Objective, when a customer denies or revokes consent for that Objective, BlueConic will not execute Dialogues, Listeners, Connections and other related objects for that particular customer’s BlueConic profile.
How do I implement multilingual websites?
If you want to set up the privacy management for multiple languages, then you can use the option to enter custom text for each objective and profile property. This way you can enter language-specific names and descriptions for all your objectives and profile properties (as used in the profile overview table).
