Recent BlueConic Product Updates

Updates to BlueConic for January-March 2022 (Q1-2022) include the following:

Connection and feature updates

Our development teams have added new features and enhancements to existing connections:

  • The Google BigQuery connection now supports importing from multiple tables in one connection goal. We also added support for Timeline event imports to the BigQuery connection.
  • The Kafka connection supports event imports and also lets you select data processors to transform or filter data being imported into BlueConic groups.
  • The Zendesk connection lets you import Zendesk tickets into Timeline events, to a dedicated ticket event type. You can specify a starting date for the import, to prevent older, less relevant tickets from being imported.
  • The Facebook Leads connection added the ability to map the lead form name to a profile property to keep track of leads generated from specific forms.
  • Updated documentation for the profile sampling feature describes how for each profile in your tenant, BlueConic automatically creates a Sample ID profile property with a random value between 1 and 100. You can use this profile property to create randomly selected profile groups for testing your campaigns, offers, and messages.

New UI for creating custom Timeline event types

BlueConic-Timeline-event-types.pngBlueConic stores customer events, such as orders, subscriptions, page views, etc., on the profile's timeline. In addition to the standard, Timeline event types, you can create custom event types to suit your data needs. In addition to creating events via the Timeline event API, you can now create them right in the Timeline event type UI.

Updates to the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Connection

Our developers made improvements to the Salesforce Marketing Cloud connection, making it easier to configure and set up data extensions for syncing your customer profiles with Salesforce. You can import Timeline events from data extensions and also import Salesforce Marketing Cloud email engagement events.
