Connection Status

BlueConic connections provide status information on whether the connection is configured and ready to exchange data with another system (either by import or export or both). Connections control the way data flows between BlueConic and other systems. The icon of a connection shows you an overview of the status of the connection at a glance:

  • It shows the way data flows.
  • It shows whether data is flowing.
  • It notes configuration errors.
  • It notes whether or not errors have occurred exchanging data.

In the table below we're using the AdRoll connection as an example, but you'll find it works similarly for other connections. These are all connection status icons and what they mean:

How to use BlueConic connections First time configuring the connection, before hitting the Save button.
How to check the status of a BlueConic connection to marketing technology systems Data is flowing from the external system to BlueConic.
How to check if the connection to other martech systems is working Data is flowing from BlueConic to the external system.
How do I check the status of a BlueConic connection? Data is flowing both from the external system to BlueConic and vice versa.
How do I tell if a BlueConic connection is running OK or if there's an error? Configuration is incomplete or contains an error, preventing the connection from running.
How to use BlueConic connections to import and export profile data and show their status Data was flowing from the external system to BlueConic, but an error occurred.
How do I synchronize customer profile data with the rest of my martech or marketing stack? Data was flowing from BlueConic to the external system, but an error occurred.
How do I keep my marketing customer profile data synchronized across my marketing stack? Either no use case was chosen, or data was flowing both ways but an error occurred.

Which statuses are actually available varies per connection, as not every connection supports every form of data flow.
