Product Updates

Find Product Updates

BlueConic releases updates to the CDP on a regular basis. For each major platform release, we publish changelog posts here that describe the updates and their impacts.

Product updates are delivered on a rolling basis to BlueConic server clusters, and are announced in the platform via the Notifications menu on the BlueConic navigation bar.

Any product updates or planned maintenance will be announced at least 7 days in advance.

Understand feature release types

To ensure we deliver high-quality, valuable features, we introduce platform enhancements through several distinct release stages. Understanding these stages helps you know what to expect in terms of availability, stability, documentation, and support for new functionality.

Release Type

Details

Private Preview

Definition: Early phase where new concepts or major redesigns are shared with select design partners to gather feedback on core functionality and direction.

Access details: Invite-only access for a small group working closely with Product and Engineering. Requires a direct invitation from BlueConic and internal enablement by the Product team (requested via your CSM or support).

What to expect: Feature is early-stage, experimental, and may be incomplete. Functionality and experience are subject to major changes. No formal documentation or support content. Direct feedback to the Product team is essential.

Support details: Direct interaction, feedback collection, and support are managed by BlueConic Product teams.

Beta

Definition: Promising features from Private Preview move to Beta for broader testing and refinement across varied use cases. Some features start in beta.

Access details: Still invite-only, but open to more customers than Private Preview. Requires an invitation and internal approval/enablement by the BlueConic Product team (usually requested via your CSM or support).

What to expect: More developed than Private Preview but may still have bugs. Preliminary documentation is typically available. Feedback helps refine the feature before full release and is expected.

Support details: Fully supported by the BlueConic Support team.

Public Preview

Definition: Promising features beyond Beta. The feature documentation is stable and intended to advance to GA.

Access details: Available to all BlueConic customers, depending on product subscriptions or licenses. The CSM can disable the feature in Salesforce, but often, there is also a separate user role permission in the UI that the customer can control.

What to expect: More developed than Beta with few to no bugs. The feature documentation is available.

Support details: Fully supported by the BlueConic Support team.

General Availability

Definition: Final stage where the feature is stable, reliable, and fully available in the BlueConic platform.

Access details: Available to all BlueConic customers, depending on product subscriptions or licenses. Enabled by default for all customers with appropriate platform access or licenses.

What to expect: The feature is complete, production-ready, and designed for wide-scale use. It is stable, thoroughly tested, and accompanied by comprehensive documentation in the Knowledge Base.

Support details: Fully supported by the BlueConic Support team through standard support channels.

If you are ever interested in participating in Private Preview or Beta programs, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or our support team.
