Add this privacy and consent listener to a BlueConic channel so that new European visitors will, by default, not get a profile. Only after the visitor gives consent to one or more objectives will a profile be created for that visitor.
How to limit European visitor profiles by consent status in BlueConic
- Choose Listeners from the BlueConic navigation bar and create a new Listener of type: European visitors: only profile after consent. See Creating Listeners.
- Give the listener a unique name. See Naming best practices.
- Choose the BlueConic channels where the listener should be active.
- Optional: To block EU visitors who already had a profile, activate the Pre-GDPR profiles box.
- Optional: Activate the Delete profiles box to permanently delete existing EU profiles as those visitors re-enter your channels.
- Optional: You can specify a segment of EU visitors whose profiles should persist when they enter your channels -- for example, known customers whose consent is already determined or collected.
- Save your changes.
