Universe Insight

Add the Universe insight to a BlueConic dashboard to show the relations between BlueConic domains and their channels.

Default view

Each domain in your BlueConic universe view is represented by a circle; in the circle the logo of the domain is displayed. In the beginning there will be no lines visible between the domains; these lines will automatically appear as activity occurs between the domains.

In the default view, you can see the traffic between the domains but not between the individual channels. The default primary domain shown is the domain you have write access to that has the most user profiles.

Traffic among channels

To zoom in to see which channels within the domains sent or drew traffic to another, click the plus (+) button or use the mouse. The result is a more detailed view of the traffic between the channels within the domain. This enables you to see the incoming traffic between individual channels within the domains.

Channel details

Zooming into the third level view, BlueConic displays the names of the channels that drew incoming traffic.

To set the focus on another domain, click the empty space in a domain (not on a channel). To change the view between incoming and outgoing traffic, select "Incoming" or "Outgoing" in the bottom pane. You also have the option to select from the following views:

  • Traffic
  • Views
  • Clicks
  • Conversions

About the lines between the domains/channels

  • The thickness of the lines varies. The thicker the line, the higher number it represents. If there is no relation between channels, then there is no line.
  • The lines have a direction: they show either inbound or outbound data (always seen from the centered domain). The inbound/outbound view can be switched by the "Incoming"/"Outgoing" options in the bottom pane.
  • What the lines represent is determined by the pull-down on the left of the settings bar. Options include:

    Option Description
Traffic The line represents the number of profiles that travelled directly from domain B to domain A.
Views The line represents the number of profiles that viewed a dialogue or variant active in domain A while the dialogue or variant belongs to domain B.
Clicks The line represents the number of profiles that clicked a dialogue or variant active in domain A while the dialogue or variant belongs to domain B.
Conversions The line represents the number of profiles that triggered a conversion for a dialogue or variant active in domain A while the dialogue or variant belongs to domain B.
  • Only lines related to the centered domain are shown. Click on any domain to center that domain and see all relations between that domain to the rest of the universe.
