What timezone will my Dialogue use?

What timezone your dialogue will use is dependent on which options you select in the "When" section.

Your local timezone will always be used, unless you specify to use timezone "Visitor's time zone" in the "When" section. Note that time zone selection is not available for every option in the "When" section, so if the selection is not available your local time and timezone will be used.

For example, if a user in Boston (EST) is configuring a dialogue with a start time of 9:00 AM, it will activate as follows for visitors in these locations:

Location Timezone Active at
Boston EST 9:00 AM
San Francisco PST 6:00 AM
Amsterdam CET 3:00 PM
Tokyo JST 11:00 PM

To plan the timing of your dialogue around the globe, a site like www.worldtimebuddy.com can come in handy.

Specifying visitor's timezone

Certain options in the "When" section allow for you to select the "Visitor's time zone", e.g. Active Time:

In the example above the time zone setting "Visitor's time zone" means the dialogue will activate as follows for visitors in these locations:

Location Timezone Active at
Boston EST 7:00 AM
San Francisco PST 7:00 AM
Amsterdam CET 7:00 AM
Tokyo JST 7:00 AM
