Usercentrics CMP Listener

The Usercentrics CMP Listener is a global listener that syncs Usercentrics consent categories with BlueConic profiles. Once installed, it automatically detects the Usercentrics consent categories associated with each visitor.

Use this listener for consent management and compliance use cases with Usercentrics. It consolidates your consent data and lets you create new Objectives based on Usercentrics data.

Note: This specialized listener was created outside the BlueConic product development team and does not come preinstalled in the BlueConic platform.

Before you begin

  • Select at least one privacy legislation zone that requires consent, under Settings > Privacy.

  • Have access to Settings > Plugins to register the listener.

Install the Usercentrics CMP Listener

  1. Go to Settings > Plugins and click Add plugin.

  2. Register the following external URL:
    https://plugins.blueconic.net/listener_usercentrics/index.xml

  3. For more detailed instructions, see What are BlueConic plugins? If you need further assistance, contact BlueConic Support.

Add Objectives using the Usercentrics CMP Listener

Once the plugin is installed, add the predefined Objectives Usercentrics uses, either manually or through the Notifications menu.

  1. Open the notifications menu by clicking the bell icon in the top right corner. Find the "New Objectives" notification and click Create to add all the required Objectives.

  2. To create the Objectives manually instead, use the four Objectives and IDs below:

  • "Essential" with the ID: uc_category_essential

  • "Functional" with the ID: uc_category_functional

  • "Marketing" with the ID: uc_category_marketing

  • "Statistics" with the ID: uc_category_statistics

Inspect and adjust the title and description of each Objective, as needed.

The Usercentrics CMP Listener is now set up. No further configuration is required within BlueConic.
